Plantar fasciitis is an inflammation of the fibrous tissue (plantar fascia) along the bottom of your foot that connects your heel bone to your toes. Plantar fasciitis can cause intense heel pain. Heel pain is the primary symptom of plantar fasciitis, especially evident in the following conditions: Pain and stiffness in the morning that gets worse as the day progresses Pain after standing for long periods I offer a specialist treatment that has helped many of my patients with a gentle but deep tissue massage of the foot and lower leg.
